The results of the 4th edition of the Czech Architecture Award, a competitive showcase organised by the Czech Chamber of Architects, were announced on Thursday, 14 November at a gala at Forum Karlín.

The results of the 4th edition of the Czech Architecture Award, a competitive showcase organised by the Czech Chamber of Architects, were announced on Thursday, 14 November at a gala at Forum Karlín. The Main Award went to Petr Stolín and Alena Mičeková for their Kindergarten in Nová Ruda. In the finale of this year’s edition of the Czech Architecture Award, the jury had six buildings from which to choose. The winner and finalists were selected from the 34 nominated works presented by the CCA in June of this year. A total of 186 works completed in the last five years competed in the 4th edition of the Czech Architecture Award.

Four Partner Awards were also awarded: the Ministry of Regional Development CR Award for the Promotion of Quality Construction Through Architectural Competitions, the Ministry of Industry and Trade CR Award for a Generous Approach to the New Construction of an Industrial Building, the Nature Conservation Agency CR Award for a Sensitive and Original Design in a Natural Environment and the VELUX Award for Work with Natural Light.

The Academy of the Czech Architecture Award also recognised a Unique Achievement.

Main Prize

The recipient of the Main Award of the fourth edition of the Czech Architecture Award was chosen by an international jury and selected from amongst the Finalists.

Unique achievement

As part of the Czech Architecture Award, the unique activities in the field of architecture are acknowledged, too. Their nomination, selection and voting are performed by members of the Academy of CCA.

Nominations

An international jury of experts has selected 34 works.
